Martina Topley-Bird Performing Live at M-Theory Music

Martina Topley-Bird will be offering an in-store performance on Wednesday, November 3rd at 6:00 p.m. at M-Theory Music (915 W. Washington Street, Mission Hills).

M-Theory says: Martina has worked with Tricky and Massive Attack and released a new album entitled "Some Place Simple" on 10/19. She will also be performing with Massive Attack on 11/4 at the RIMAC Arena in La Jolla.

I love in-store shows and this sounds like an intimate show that should not be missed.

Awareness raising event for youth homelessness in San Diego!

Based on San Diego Youth Services' (SDYS) representative Daniel Manson's talk at the last El Dorado Live event earlier in the month, the needs of the outreach team include: hygiene kits (including razors, soap, tooth paste, tooth brushes, etc.), bottled water and back packs. If you would like to donate any of these items, please bring them with you for distribution. The more of these activities we do, the more we can see that they are having a significant impact not only in terms of generating income but also showing how we can be part of a supportive network to youths with some of the greatest needs. Thank you very much for your support!

Stevie and the Hi-Stax Performing LIVE at El Dorado Lounge

Special Event happening at El Dorado Lounge on Sunday, October 17th (7pm to 11pm):

Smooth & Sexy Sunday - featuring Stevie and the Hi-Stax with DJ All Good. Stevie Harris (lead singer, the Styletones) will perform original songs from his soon to be released CD for the benefit show for San Diego Youth Services' Teen Shelter. The evening will also featured deejayed sets by DJ All Good; photography by Richard ChauDavis and live art and portraits by True Delorenzo. All of us are excited about the growing interest in the musical genres of funk and soul; we are happy to support one another in the process of further developing this community as we support local causes through these events.
